Are the soldiers who's ID cards were recently found MIA or POW?

I get the ArmyTimes and read online about these soldiers who have died. I remember last year there were two other soldiers kidnapped and killed and when they found them there were IED's around their bodies. Now, they have found one soldiers body in the river and just the ID cards of the other two. When I look at casualties and MIA/POW stats, these soldiers are not listed. Why are they not listed as MIA/POW and if you can provide some sources or materials that show they are it would be appreciated?

MIA, until proved otherwise.
Reply:you are correct the two sodiers, Specialist Jimmenez, and Private Fouty, are not classified as MIA/POW. common sense would tell us that they are MIA/POW., but there is always a chance that these soldiers just ran away on there own. i do not believe this is the case , until the DOD has actual proof that they are dead or being held as prisoner , their status will remain as is. if they fled on their own they would be UA and not MIA...AS OF SATURDAY EVENING THE DOD ANNOUNCED THE STATUS OF THESE 2 SOLDIERS..(DUSTWUN)...Duty Status Whereabouts Unknown)
Reply:Could be that they just haven't updated the list yet. In my opinion they are POW, but could still be considered MIA by military standards. Even if they were AWOL, they would still be MIA. (I don't believe them to be deserters/AWOL.)

If they are in E%26amp;E mode, they are still MIA and not AWOL.
