In the future will ID cards be a thing of the past because all the info will be in our fingerprints?

More like a chip the size of a grain of rice inserted under your skin. So everywhere you go, they will know who you are. Imagine going to starbucks for a cup of coffee and they have it all ready for you because of your past ordering habits at starbucks. They will say "Thank you Rev Run, have a nice day". And the cost automatically taken out of your savings or checking account.

And your medical history is carried by you in your chip, inserted under the skin.

In the future will ID cards be a thing of the past because all the info will be in our fingerprints?
well, traditional ID cards may be obsolete, but fingerprints may not be the only identification. Theremay be retina scanning, and cards with microchip and wireless technology.
Reply:Yes, starting next year everyone will have to carry a US "real id" It is a national id and will have a RFID chip in it. The gov. will be able to track your everymove. Then in the future we will not have our fingers just scanned everywhere but will have the chip implanted under our skin. This will be our new form of credit, no more paper money. Just intangible numbers on a computer. Completely controlled by the gov. Sad but inevitable, do our country and yourself a favor and deny your real id card. It is the first step in the direction to a new fascist government if this new id is hailed as "good".
