Fake ID cards...?

I'm 17 and have been smoking since 12, it's bad I know, but it's hard to quit. I don't see the point in putting the legal age up to 18 really.





So, I'm consdering buying a novelty ID card.





Do they work, or will the shop keeper just laugh at it?

These days, the law comes down heavily on people who cell tobacco products to minors (in the U.S. anyway).





Most of the store operators will only accept a driver's license or state i.d., and they have almost universally had holograms and magnetic strips built into them.





Finding a convincing fake is going to be a problem.





Besides. It's illegal. You could get into trouble.

Reply:Yes, the shop keeper will laugh, then call the cops and get you in trouble for trying to use a fake ID. Skip it.





It is hard to quit now, and it will be even harder to quit in a year. Do yourself a huge favor and quit now.
Reply:if your seventeen, just get a friend that can buy them. or you can use that to your advantage to quit. think about the results if you got caught with a fake ID
Reply:dont do it cause some ppl call the cops for that....so ask yourself are ciggarettes with some possible jail time?
Reply:It's your choice. But if you get caught is it worth having something like that on your record? Think about your future. If you want to get a good job / going to college having something silly like that on your record. You are so close to 18...its not worth it!
