HI i was wondering if i start making ids cards for friends and family and other people and charge money is it fraud?

As long as you don't say your a government agency or state, city ... and you don't use any seals or symbols from any existing agency you can probably get by. Of course your ID card is worthless, except for fun.
Reply:The crime is called: Identity Document Forgery. It is a felony in all 50 states and, could also be a Federal crime.
You'd be better off just stealing booze and cigarettes for your underage friends and family.
Reply:Well, what kind of ID cards would they be? If we're talking ID cards, like Driver's Licenses and Legal ID Cards, then yes. It is illegal. If your talking about for work or school purposes, then you should really go through the proper channels
