Urgent! Why SHOULD we have National ID cards?

I know plenty of reasons why we shouldn't but I need to know why we should. Please include sources if possible. Thanks.

Many adults in the United States support the implementation of national identification cards, according to a poll by Opinion Dynamics released by Fox News. 50 per cent of respondents believe the system would be an advantage in the war on terrorism.

Reply:We sould have these cards for safety. These cards will help the government take care of us better. It will be easier to keep track of people. I will be a step forward even though many will have the motive to reject this national I.D. I think it would be great and I would hope it helps with jobs. If you are a good citizen then these I.D.s really souldn't bother a person. I think are government for the most part does whats good for us.
Reply:To assist law enforcement in locating wanted individuals that transit between states.





To assist people that need to see ID (like airlines) to recognize fraudulent IDs.





Standardize ID qualifications between states.
