Why some Photo ids have the photo on the right side and others in the left side?.. Specifically California ID
The side of the photo on id cards?
California ID's and driver's licenses have the photo on the right for those under 21 and on the left for those over 21.
Reply:I don't know about California, but some states differentiate between straight and looking to the side to distinguish between jr %26amp; regular license. Others states do it to specify those underage for alcohol purchase. I've only ever seen Id's with the photo in the upper left... I don't know about placement on the actual card.
