Does a National ID Card make a person more secure, and if so, how does it make a person more secure?
ID cards are national security?
No.
National ID cards are just another way for the Federal government to seize power from the states.
Which is why 17 states are suing the federal govt. and refusing to follow the Real ID Act.
Reply:I don't know. I believe it is the "first" step in wanting everyone chipped myself. Lost freedom I would say. I think they should give those people entering our country something as this to keep track of them and also to be able to tell if they left our country or not when they are suppose to.
Reply:It makes the government be able to track your every move....
Reply:ID cards are the latest republican wet dream. They've been cooking all this up - plus the Patriot Act - for many years.
We now have torture - no Habeas Corpus - and you can forget about seeing a lawyer if you're arrested.
These are rights which men fought centuries to have realized - gone now because the Supreme Court put a little drunk in the White House. You now live in a Third World country.
Why the right wing would wish this power over the people is anybody's guess.
Reply:No, it doesn't make anyone more secure, no more than you're current drivers license.
