Do you see a problem with ID cards that have P O Boxes for an address?

Are officials accepting and issuing anonymous ID cards with such address even in this era?

Reply:I still see IDs with P.O Boxes for addresses. But I also see a lot of businesses that won't accept a check from you if it has a P.O Box for an address.
Reply:Yes, I see a huge problem with that.... who lives inside a mailbox anyhow??!! All joking aside, if you have a home and physical address and a hard-copy ID card, what's the issue with actually having you address on it? This is one of the "good" or "acceptable" times for authorities to know who lives where. It is an asset to fight terrorism internally, fight crime and aide in the immigration issue as well.





Just because the Government knows where you live and who you are, doesn't mean they plan to take away your freedom, spy on you, conspire against us.... For God's Sakes take off the TinFoil hats already and join the rest of the world!!!
Reply:NO, I am from a town where there are no street addresses, now if I couldn't put a P.O Box what should I have put, Farm on the left 10 miles west of town, take a left, drive three more miles, it is the white house? I mean we got all our mail at a post office that was 16 miles away, how were we supposed to have a street address? I don't think that they should require a street address unless you have one, I know of a lot of companies that wont ship to P.O Boxs, what about the people that live in small towns and on farms around the US.

Reply:There should be no problem with this, but I have heard of some.





If you need to use a P.O. Box, rent one from a private mailbox service...Then you can just use the address of the service and put "#123" (whatever box number you get) after it like it was an apartment number and no one will ever know it isn't an apartment.





Not only is this a good way to avoid using your actual street address, but P.O. boxes won't accept UPS or FEDEX shipments and the private service will. Also your mail is kept indoors out of the weather and away from mailbox pilferers.

Reply:Not long ago, I had a drivers License with only my PO Box # on it. I explained I would be moving soon. The clerk suggested I use my street address on my vehicle registration since I have to get a new one every year. It has worked out pretty well, since I ended up moving more than once. Seems the landlords kept selling the houses out from under me. That tends to happen when real estate prices go through the roof.
