Who finds national ID cards noting more than a scam?

Yes this one piece of 3 by 5 piece of plastic is what is going to protect us from terrorism. Basically it will require people, those who wish to obtain a driving permit to get a national ID card or use their passport to do things like board a plane and enter a national park. Basically in an effort to render the state issued Drivers liscence obsolete. Michael chertoff says if states do not want to use this they will be at fault if another terrorist attack occurs.

It is no different then a Drivers License.

I have no problem with it.





The only ones that fear this type of thing is those that are paranoid or those that have criminal intent, in my opinion.
Reply:The existing forms of ID, passports and drivers license, have been in use for very long, and are easy to falsify / replicate. In order to preserve the security these mechanisms offer, they must be updated periodically. I see no problem with this.

I would think that in order to curb or pretty much eliminate possible terrorist entering our country something along these lines has to happen.





I don't know why your states DL would have to become obsolete though. We already have a national ID now with our passports. Making the changes to them to meet stricter ID guide lines shouldn't be a big deal.
Reply:You're right. And anybody that refuses to get a national ID will not be allowed to board a plane. And they're protecting us from terrorism in national parks?

When the government tells you that you have to take a microchip under your skin to prevent welfare fraud, identity theft, illegal immigration, terrorism, and to keep track of sex offenders, and there is no more cash, and you cannot buy groceries without the chip, then you will know that the beast is here.
