Whats the deal with the national id cards?

Now dont tell me I'm crazy , I've herd all kinds of things about these cards . Im not getting one , and i dont care what happens to me . But i would like to know whats my consequences if i dont get one . I really dont know how anyone could support these things , i mean it sounds like something out of 1984 . And my 85 year old father who is a repubican aggres and hes not getting one either ....

There are already so many identifiers (drivers licenses, social security cards, birth certificates, passports, etc.) that the Feds have full access to, I don't know why one more ID card is going to make this a police state.

Reply:To be fair we all would have to have one and be identified. The whole idea is just another freedom we are loosing. I do not want to sound too dramatic but, this sounds like Germany when Hitler was in charge. I do not like illegals here and I want them gone gone gone. The way is to let law enforcement deport illegals and that requires the law enforcers to ask for ID if you do not have it you are gone. I expect the government of Mexico to pay for the transportation. Let's keep score and bill Mexico for the expense they have caused letting Mexican citizens leave the country without papers.
