What do you think about the National ID card?

May 2008 the National ID card is going to

become effective.

What do you think about the National ID card?
I'm not surprised--we've been heading this way for a long time. Next is an implanted chip that will have to be read by a scanner before anyone can buy or sell anything. Probably on your head, hand, or forearm. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Reply:i think i have enough already, thank you.
Reply:The ACLU will fight it as a violation of peoples civil right.
Reply:I'll never accept it. Let the airlines and banks go bankrupt for all I care. And why would being unable to enter a federal building be such a bad thing?

Its fortunate that public opinion is firmly against gun control. This government is not going to be able to abuse people who resist the Fascist ID card.
Reply:Proposition 666. No thank you!
Reply:What's wrong with the 'passport'???

Why do we need another card to identify nationality??

I've had a passport for years and it seems to work just fine all over the world.....

By the way ....to the person who said social security card, if you'll look on the card it says it isn't intended for ID purposes....
Reply:We all already have a social security number and card so i don't see what the big deal is.
Reply:I would say that the government was trying to keep track of me.. except I can't think of any good reason why they would want to. I would hate to have to use a picture ID on a daily basis that contained my personal informa... hey wait.. I already do that too. Hmmm... Big Brother or Tuesday? Hard to tell.
Reply:against iot, just another way for the government to keep track of, and control you
Reply:I think i am the kind of person who will forget it at home all the time and get in trouble :-o
