Why does the website http://www.dmv.org/ny-new-york... say I can't get both:StateIDcard+DriversLicen

I don't understand. Is a non-photo ID card different than the STATE ID Card? I really don't get this. Where do I go to get my NY STATE ID CARD. I just moved here and am a US citizen.

Why does the website http://www.dmv.org/ny-new-york... say I can't get both:StateIDcard+DriversLicen
just get a drivers license and you won't have to worry about the others...
Reply:You can have one or the other. By restricting you to one, it prevents you from giving the other to someone else for underage drinking.
Reply:Thats the wrong website.. dont give them any of your info

the correct website is http://www.nysdmv.com/
Reply:A driver's license acts as an ID Card, so if you have a driver's license you don't need an ID Card. You only need an ID Card if you don't drive. And the above poster is right, the correct site is www.nysdmv.com.
