Why would I need it considering I have a SS Card, Drivers License and a US Passport. Why should I have to carry around another form of ID. Also considering you would need to create another federal branch to deal with this card meaning spending more money.
What is the point of a national ID Card?
I would hope that it replaces your state drivers license instead of being added to the list of stuff you need. Just easier to give everybody the same style and all be in the same system. Easier to keep track of stuff. Try moving to another state and having them study your license for 10 minutes looking for your age or something.

Reply:Illegals couldn't get this national ID. It would be great to ensure that only legal citizens were voting. Too many illegals were registered to vote. On that point alone its worth it.
