Military id cards?

my little cousine wants a military id card. could i get her one if itook her on my base.

Military id cards?
No.

Military ID is limited to those people serving in the military. Immediate family members and retirees are given ID cards to verify that they can use military facilities such as the PX.
Reply:No. Not unless she is a dependent of yours. If that was the case everyone would get ID cards for everyone. They are only for dependents to use the facilites on base.
Reply:No. Military ID cards are for military personnel and their immediate family, spouse and children.
Reply:no. those ID cards are ONLY for bona fide dependents of Service members.
Reply:I haven't heard of anyone other than DOD civilians, military personnel and immediate family members getting a military ID. I don't think you would be able to get her one at any base.
Reply:What could she possibly need or wven want with a Military Id card?
Reply:well technically you COULD....if her parents signed over custody of her to you. then you would have to enroll her in DEERS etc then she could get one.....but then if you ever decided to give her back the ID would have to be turned in. oh and if that were to happen she wont get one unless shes 10...my stepdaughter has 1 and isnt 10, but she isnt in our custody (my husbands ex has custody) and shes on his insurance, since her mom had to turn hers in they gave her one.
Reply:No, military ID cards are for people in the military.
Reply:NO, unless you are her legal Guardian she is not eligible for a dependant ID. Anyone issuing one to her would be committing a Fraud.

Getting her onto most bases shouldnt be an issue

Ask your Gunny
Reply:She has to be a bona fide dependent, not just a relative.
Reply:Only if you're active duty (or your spouse is) and if she's your dependent. If she's the dependent of someone else military they'll have to take her.
Reply:No I would have to be her parent/guardian, even if you are related. At the time if you would take her you would have to have your I.d present.
Reply:you could get a temp pass. for her to be on base.
Reply:no
Reply:No way dude.
Reply:well she/he needs to be 10. as long as you are an active military member it should be fine. take her to the main directing station and get her picture taken, have her social security# and yours on hand.
