Not any more. Due to Homeland Insecurity, you cannot have a state ID from ANY state if you have a driver license, and if anyone had a state ID but did not have a driver license and gets a driver license, the ID must be surrendered.

It's all part of the national ID that the communists in our federal government are trying to force upon us in anti-Democracy fashion! And I bet you that the brainwashed US communists in our country will just sit there and let it happen, just like they will let the "cashless society" occur!
Reply:yes.. although if you're going to be driving at all in new york.. most states require that you get a state drivers license asap before you're other one requires.. you're suppose to get a new one whenever you address changes.
Reply:it's illegal to have a form of id from 2 different states, idk why though, the DMV people just told me i couldn't keep my Washington ID when i moved to Idaho even after i got my new license
Reply:yes i have a friend who has temporarily moved to louisiana from indiana and she was able to get a louisiana id for cashing check etc...
