Can you cash a government check with out an ID card present?

i have a income tax check ! i lost my id card could i just sign the back of it an have my father cash it himself ???? or are you not alloud to do that ?

No sweetie, I'm afraid you need your ID. Go online and request a duplicate of your ID... it should arrive within 5 days.

Reply:If you have a bank account, you could talk to an officer at the bank. If you have been banking there for awhile, they might agree to cash your check.





In most states, you can walk in and get a new id if you bring two forms of id.
